Johnny On The Spot: This could prove to be a crucial win. Not only for Manchester City's Europa League campaign, but also for the rest of the season. The anti-City brigade had begun to sense blood again in the light of frustrating games against Sunderland and Blackburn that should have been won, but City clinically took on a Salzburg side with an excellent recent track record and recorded an efficient win...A victory like this can only breed confidence and belief which in turn, now need to be taken to Wigan and West Brom respectively. Job done and full marks to Mancio for getting the team selection spot on with what was available to him.

Good to see Silva open his account, and he put in a very good all round performance. Comfortable win against a poor side.
Bluedub
Talk about being quick off the mark JB.

We are, we are top of the league, we are, top of the league! Yes, I know it's very early days...

Our very own Once A Blue will be flying home later tonight so standby for his live report tomorrow!

Did any of our players actually break sweat tonight?
fifthcolumnblue
Juventus and the Polish team should present bigger challenges. Like against Timisoara, we were down to walking pace at times to preserve energy or else it could have been 3, 4, or 5-0. MotM Silva but Barry was again excellent as he has been in every appearance this season.

Cant believe Jo found the net. Yaya Toure looked much better tonight and there were certainly a lot of positives. We never really got out of second gear but it was job done.
