Johnny On The Spot: City continue their steady progress in Europe. In an exciting contest, there were chances a plenty to put the game to bed and numerous close calls for both sides with The Blues the more dominant for long periods...At the end of the day as they say, both clubs will be content with the draw, but City will be rueing the fact that their control of the game wasn't converted into goals. For the visitors, Del Pieiro was outstanding while City's Kompany was named Man of The Match in the Stadium...With Poznan beating Salzburg, Europa League A is proving a fascinating too close to call mini-campaign. Next stop, Poland. Statistics courtesy UEFA

Fair outcome really. Juventus are a strong side and had some good chances despite City's dominance. It was difficult for our strikers to make anything happen as Juventus were very compact and stifled us in the final third. Silva might have unlocked their back four if he had been given longer, but all in all there cant be too many complaints.

I'd go as far as saying that Juve parked the bus for most of the second half. Wish Silva had come on for Vieria a bit earlier, think he might have helped unlock Juve's 9 man defence. I understand why Mancini played Vieira, as nodoby else in our team has as much Serie A experience, but I thought PV was a passenger for most of the game. Still, and exciting tie, even if several Juve players tried to live up to the Italian footballer's sterotype by diving every time the ball came near them!

The diving was rediculous, but credit to the referee for stopping it. Viera didnt have the best of games, but it was neccessary to give de Jong a rest. I think the team just needs to get more games under their belt before we see their true potential. At the moment, moves like the Yaya Toure/Johnson goal are few and far between. When the players get more familiar with each other then we will see more chances and hopefully, goals.
