Johnny On The Spot: A classic English football encounter took place at the seaside today. Blackpool gave it a right go yet again against established top flight opposition and clearly deserve their respectable league position on merit...However, that edge of class and what looked to be superior fitness levels told in the last 30 minutes to see second placed City again take the points whilst misfiring across the park...But time and again we've seen the likes of the erstwhile 'Big Four' grind out wins when going through an erratic phase and it's a winning mentality that Mancio is evidently forging into his squad... We need to bear in mind that todays goals were shipped by a City defence still finding it's feet as a unit and teh few goals conceded up to date point to a capacity to ensure they tighten up again...The hacks who have been queuing up to ruin David Silva in England will be crestfallen tonight by his stunning entrance from the bench to bolster an exploding Carlos Tevez who had previously carried an abject Emmanuel Adebayor. Both Tevez and Silva's contributions were outstanding...City's battling skipper has now scored an amazing 36 goals in 46 league and cup starts...Above all else, the anti-City brigade take heed. The Citizens have yet to get into their stride and when they do they will be dishing out some batterings.

I said it a few weeks ago and i'll say it again now, Emanuel Adabayor can no longer control a football, footballs have turned their backs on him and severed friendships. I don't care if he hits a purple patch now or even a light pink patch, we need to find a club daft enough to buy him in January. Please no loans!
