Three defeats in a row is simply not good enough.

Poor. Same as Wolves really, fine start then brains off (well, Micah and Shauny don't seem to have a brain between them, so they are excluded). After we equalized we really should have gone on to win but same old story. Their goal was bizarrely flukeish but you make your own luck by attacking. A few months ago I was proud of our English "spine" but man, SWP, Lescott, and Bridge need to go quickly.

Very unlucky and it was a 3-1 performance. Nothing is going our way at all. Boyata header seemed decent to me, but too many major mistakes happen when hes around lately. He and richards shouldnt be near the first team for a long while. I feel our attacking players should be doing alot more, we are just are not killing teams of. Bring back tevez and dejong asap. If tevez starts on sunday we will lose on sunday. We may not win though...

If tevez starts on sunday we will NOT lose on sunday. We may not win though...

Hey, Sheikh! Didn't expect to see you here! I must say, sir, it's a pleasure to meet you after years of seing your cavalcade drive down Sheikh Zayed Road, even if your royal highness is only on a forum. Speaking of which, I have a business acquisition I believe I can interest you in. It's called Tottenham Hotspur, club down London way, no Garry Cook?;)

As for the match, wow. I predicted that you would beat Lech comfortably with the 200 million pounds of talent you had out on the field. Guess I'm a jinx, I apologise sirs, I'll stay away till a day before we visit Eastlands ;)

The media would have it's new ammo if we sold Bridge/Lescott/Richards/SWP because they are English (two from academy) but all of them are regular liabilities (Lescott could possibly find some form like last season, Richards has a game every now and again that fools us into believing he's grown a brain - Bridge and 2010 SWP have no redeeming qualities whatsoever). Would rather replace them with cheap, hungry, Adam Johnson-esque signings. Eden Hazard would be a good shout to replace Shaun.

I watched the game and it's not asif you were outplayed, i no how it feels to watch a game were you dominate against a european team and not take chances and then they score 2 last minute goals, it happened to us but at least you will still go through.
P.Avfc
lots of work to do building back up the teams confidence, but a win at the weekend would be the tonic they need.

Dubai, where are you getting 200 million from? I think your calculator must be on the blink there mate, or else it's one of them calculators the tabloid "journalists" use. ;). Terrible result, perhaps a little harsh considering for large parts we looked the better team without playing well at all. There's a nervousness in our play that badly needs sorting.

The tools are there, we are not using them to their strengths.

Mancini took a gamble by playing the "fringe" players and it backfired, simples. Those who acquitted themselves well were Adebayor, Adam Johnson, Milner, Silva. Those who did not were Bridge, SWP, Lescott, Richards, Boyata and even Given. Can we put it all down to rustiness, or are the players simply not good enough? I do support Mancini in his efforts to keep our first team squad fresh for those games that really matter, AKA Baggies and swamp dwellers. What I cannot understand however, is the apparent lack of hunger from those who should be running through brick walls to get into the first team. At least the likes of Boyata will get better over time, the same cannot be said of Bridge and SWP who now look to be on the way out ASAP. The result was a hard one to take as we did look the better side for most of the game, but that's football for you. Just hope the resutling media frenzy over this loss doesn't distract the players from the real job at hand which is the Premier League.

P.Avfc LOL, where do I remember that from p. avfc :) As for Lescott, I would gladly take him bakc to everton if you dont want (of course for a quarter of the price though), he is a good defender just needs stability like most players
Rob-EFC
Rob enlighten me? Are you talking about rapid vienna here? Man city? Or everton failing to beat our team?
