Johnny On the Spot: This was an immaculate performance by Roberto Mancini's powerful side. To a man they tackled fiercely and fairly, were first to every loose ball, attacked with flair and played with a collectively joyful team spirit...The score could quite easily have been trebled as memories of Stoke's battering of City in The Blues League Cup elimination at their hands last season were confirmed as a distant, now sussed out and hammered memory...Carlos Tévez stole the show tonight as he drew level with the rags dreary Berbatov on 21 golden boot goals following two stunning strikes. El Apache remains top dog at Manchester City and that's something he can take with him this summer after he leads The Citizens out for the crunch final day out at a Reebok Stadium which will be packed to the rafters with City fans on Sunday...It will be the final curtain on a season that nobody across Planet Blue will want to end...Eastlands positively rocked as the side moved above Arsenal into the third automatic Champions League place on absolute merit...The Blues are within touching distance of finishing the job at Bolton and savouring the most momentus Manchester City season in decades. On tonight's evidence, Kev Davies and the lads haven't got a prayer, neither beleaguered Arsenal.

Outstanding... I cant even begin to imagine what next season will produce now that the players are gelled and confidence is sky high. It's been a long time coming, but Manchester City are back!

Stoke mustered 2 shots on goal against us in 180 minutes of football, amazing considering they are one of the most aggressive teams in the league and known for firing in balls (and throws) and creating chances. Kompany/Lescott are one of the best CB pairings in Europe right now, we were laughed at for what we paid for Lescott but this season he's been utterly outstanding as has Kompany.

Oh dear, whatever can taggart do? If he plays berbaflop in the final game against Blackpool (In order to see if the lazy waster can score and snatch the golden boot) he's sure to get done by the FA for fielding a weakened team!
