Johnny On The Spot: What a sensational exhibition of total football Man City served up tonight. The collective hunger, desire and will to win shone through. The precision passing and movement was a joy to watch. The pressing of the opposition to a man was intense...Yaya Toure led the way bossing midfield. Some of his transversal passes were of the highest quality.....In Champions-elect form and a year unbeaten in the league at home, The Blues have now registered 94 goals and counting this season and are tonight 5 points clear of the rags, further ahead of them by 12 goals. 67 league goals have been plundered in 26 games. Unprecedented across Planet Blue... As Rovers hapless defence was repeatedly reduced to paper kites in a wind tunnel hit by wave after wave of sky blue attacks, Roberto Mancini noteably shared out the ice cool polos to his management team following Kun Aguero's 16th goal of the season. Every one of his young strikers answered the return of Carlos Tevez here. Mancio will be further encouraged again at how his young side looked much, much fitter than the opposition. The Citizens go into the last 12 games of the campaign at full strength, with another game booking free and in formidable form. It's all coming together.

Is that possession stat a record. Another brilliant performance. Incredible passing football.

Was it REALLY 88% possession? Seemed like it but didn't think those sort of stats played out. City were outstanding tonight, head and shoulders above their main rivals for the epl. In a different class, in fact. How good does the boy Pizarro look? And all 3 strikers scoring... Even if Carlos gets himself fit, does he get a chance ahead of their form? Well in City. Top class.

One of the most dominant performances I have any seen by any club, it was like a training session. We are clearly the best team in the league, how United have kept up with us is anyone's guess, witchcraft and a pact with the devil I'd say.

Can't remember the last time a team came to the Etihad and didn't actually manage a shot until the 79th minute. What an awesome display from the Blues! Good luck in your relegation battle Blackburn, on that display you'll most certainly need it.

88% possession? I thought we bossed the game, but I didn't know it was that good.

Blackburn look doomed. They were useless and even parking the bus didn't assist them whatsoever. We made them look pathetic and destined for Championship football next season.
