Tonight City rammed the tsunami of gloating and criticism that we as a club and a support have taken over the past three days back down the throats of a legion of ghouls who've been desperate to stick the boot in all season...Roberto Mancini's defiance this week was richly rewarded by his dominant side who inspired by David Silva's fleet of foot and Gareth Barry's midfield drive took West Brom to the proverbial cleaners. Lost the dressing room? Not on this evidence...Sure, we'd swap places with Stretford and their five goal cushion with five games to go tonight but Wigan, like Blackburn and other less accomplished sides have shown this season that the rags are far from invincible...All we can ask of a hack written off City from here on is to keep on putting in a shift and see where we are when Taggart brings his team inside the City walls. Never say never said Mancio and City looked a team liberated and free of pressure tonight. | ||||||||
