MANCHESTER CITY CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND - Johnny On The Spot ...Astonishing. Truly astonishing. The watching world witnessed at the close of yet another stunning Manchester City fightback a rocking Etihad Stadium coming together with it's tightknit management team and squad in an outpouring of absolute ecstacy...The team's nervy approach was absolutely understandable considering the magnitude of what they were aiming to realise. It was almost, to the final minutes, their undoing but to a man, now legends, they shed blood sweat and tears to overcome a massed QPR defensive rearguard initially led by the disgrace that was their captain to mount a sustained never say die relentless wave of attacks. The statistics are amazing. This City side have evolved into a team that will not accept defeat, will never die...Sir Alex Ferguson spoke this week of what losing this title having fought so hard to almost touch it could do to City, but now the tables are firmly turned upon his own squad which stands at a crossroads, shellshocked by a Manchester power shift realised inside 4 years. The rags are condemned to a summer with only ghastly tartan tea-towel shirts to look forward to...The talk all season from many quarters, particularly the majority of football hacks has been of mercenaries and buying the league. As City's magnificent captain Vincent Kompany said tonight, the majority of his team have come from extremely poor backgrounds and their desire, and what this win meant to them today eclipsed all the nonsense endured. Already this is being described as the ultimate title win. God only knows where it will take us now, but Planet Blue is fuelled with immense self belief and the direction for this young squad, it's astute young manager and hungry fans is assuredly upwards and onwards. Savour it Blues, savour it. The launchpad is now built. We have ignition...and now...THAT Goal - Commentary courtesy Calm Cool and Collected Productions England's Number One Celebrations

8 points down with 6 to go and 2 goals down with six minutes to go. That was truly amazing. We certainly don't do it the easy way but I wouldn't have it any other way. Forza Mancini. City 'til I die.
Bluedub
Great final day - Gz to you City lot - we pushed you all the way - right up to that 90th + 4 minute lol
niteworlok

Well done man city, the city is certainly blue! And so is the title this year xD you worked hard for it and it should be even better next year with all teams looking to strengthen! Hopefully villa can give you a good fight next year if McLeish isn't here :L if you want an even harder challenge, you can have him in charge and see where he gets you?;)
Avfc94 we do

Congratulations lads. DRINK UP. Your livers will forgive you, in time. I don't want to see any articles on here tonight. Thanks for the spectacular ending which once again reminds us why we all watch this crazy, crazy, game. Cheers from Vital Chelsea.
BlueBanes
well done on buying the league with unlimited money

finally a blue moon. well done guys

I bloody screamed for you guys! Iv'e had some bad run ins with a lot of fans on here but from pretty much all the way threw the season i wanted City to win the league...No point being petty and saying you 'brought' the league because Utd have brought the title numerous times, Liverpool have tried to buy it and failed, Chelsea have brought it, and no doubt other teams will in the future. Sick of seeing the same teams win, happy with a new face on the title...Plus that ***** Fergie keeps praising Mcnegative.

Breaking news...........Sir Chewalot has actually stopped chewing, lol. Well done blue mooners and glad to see a different name at the top. Just cannot see anyone stopping you next season! Enjoy the ectasy and if you have any cast offs next term can we have 5 or 6. Milner back would be lovely but you can keep GB.
holte ender 1969
Thanks for all the good sentiment from neutrals, very much appreciated.
Bluedub
Many congratulations to City and their fans on a well deserved title, and thanks a million for making the last day (and last few minutes!!) of the season an unforgettable one!! Anyone who drags up the 'buying the title' party-line needs to spit out the sour grapes, every team has money and City just used theirs wisely in not buying a single lemon!! Especially pleased for Zabaleta, a proper unsung hero in my eyes. The City is Blue today, and you ought to revel in it to the absolute limit!!!
LilyWhiteHart
Well done to the Blue half (shameless) of Manchester!!!!!!! Although Barton was a Dick for hi reaction ,Tevez done
