Johnny On The Spot: Having utilised an experimental 352 formation with glowing success throughout this summer, this supposed Plan B became Plan A at Anfield. Despite a positive start, the strategy rapidly unravelled as a fired up Liverpool took full advantage of City's continuing defensive uncertainty...Without singling out certain flapping performances, The Blues passing was ropey for the majority of the game. The team had an air of confusion about it. This was the first time they had gone in behind at the break in 16 months of league football...Due to Liverpool's own frailties, this was as big a get out of jail as we've experienced in some time despite the side shipping goals with regularity in recent outings, yet the return to 442 and the required personnel for the last quarter hour saw a resurgence in passing accuracy, solidity and threat. The defensive rot has got to stop and Mancio should be a far from happy manager tonight. He got his formation wrong yet his side took their gifts when offered as Champions do...Composure has to be the order of the day from here on, but make no mistake about it, this was a big, big point.

Got out of jail there. Poor performance but a good point in the bag.

How many 'get out of jail' cards are we allowed per season? Shockingly bad performance. No "real sign of champions here" - we got the draw because Liverpool fecked up. Much work to do...

We say it time and again - we missed Barry!

Miss barry and Micah Richards TBH. I can understand why Silva is still being rested, but we looked so much better when he came on it was like watching two different games. Oh, and taxi for Kolo.
