Manchester City 13th Unbeaten run continued at The Hawthorns and whilst City had the majority of play and took the lead on 10 minutes a move finished aplomb by Leroy Sane, the Baggies quickly equalised, but as is the case these days City went virtually straight back up field and were back in front within a couple of minutes with Fernandinho and a bit of luck as the ball crept across the line. The scored stayed that way until the 2nd half when Sterling added to City's lead with minutes of coming on as substitute for Bernardo and there were missed efforts on both sides with City wasting a few chances to have put the game to bed. Phillips scored for West Brom in added time with a defensive error from Otamendi and the game ended with some jangling nerves for City, but overall a deserved victory.
